As the primary digital media, printing and camera consultant,
performing a variety of functions including:
- Image editing,
scanning, printing photos/enlargements with Photoshop and other
imaging programs, multimedia projects, video editing, DVD/CD
production, media recovery, camera troubleshooting and repair.
(Several of my prints for customers won Gold medals at 2005
San Mateo County Fair.)
- Teaching weekly digital photography and computer interface
class, providing off-site personalized instruction,
computer/network installation, service for both stores computers,
assisting the buyer in acquiring digital cameras, media,
accessories with Internet research, consumer information, user
feedback and personal use. Providing support for customers,

with Amiga/Video Toasters, PCs and Macs equipped with digital
video/audio capture, linear and non-linear editing equipment,
using Macromedia products, Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. Graphic
conversions, video/animation to CD and project testing services
were offered. Managed staff of three and programmed/managed an
IVR & voicemail service bureau.

Working extensively with engineering, design, production,
marketing and corporate departments in order to:
- Lead production department of eight people providing technical
assistance and resources, to coordinate a major redesign and HTML
upgrade (using CVS) of very large Web page Site-builder to CSS1
and XHTML standards. Also edited, produced and tested content for
integrating streaming video into user's pages.
- Develop Wireless / Web integration demo projects delivering
customized data to users phones, U.S./International WAP/WML
requirements documentation, as well as hardware/software and
phone browser compatibility research.

Hired prior to receiving venture capital as a web developer at
the largest invitation/scheduling startup (TimeDance.com).
Observed and influenced the company through the complete cycle
from birth to death. As the sole non-engineer in the engineering
department, responsibilities included:
- Coding and testing templates from graphic designers for use by
Java developers in all major browsers, extensive work with QA
department finding/fixing HTML/JavaScript errors, and directly
working with our co-branding partners (i.e. Egreetings,
NBCI/Snap, Homestead, SAP, MapBlast!) on customizing code for
their sites.
- Optimizing images/graphics, HTML and JavaScript to create and
design pages that reduced download times, production of logos,
graphics, banner ads, customizing emails, maintaining a library
in Visual SourceSafe, producing mockups and demos for the
business development and marketing teams.

- Produced GUI/menu scripting, layout, HTML 4.0 and DHTML (ASP,
JavaScript, VBScript) for the SportsUniverse.com web sites
(bought by FogDog in 1999.) In-Vision provides multimedia and
video support for major Silicon Valley companies including
Oracle, Cisco, Bay Networks, Genentech, and The Gap.
- Coding and layout for articles and pages of this major on-line
Extreme Sports magazine with photos, graphics and videos. Setup
and configured NT servers for web development and user chat servers.

International Foster City, CA
Web Designer / Content Developer
Content development and conversion, HTML coding and design for
VISA International's "VISA OnLine", a highly secure, private
Internet/Extranet website for VISA member banks, card issuers and
financial institutions in the US and abroad.
Working on this proof-of-concept project from the beginning to
final stages, helping VISA deliver, on time, the first of its
kind access for banks and institutions, as well as integrating
flexibility and a user interface for expediting future changes by
divisions worldwide.
Responsibilities included:
- Document conversion, design, testing/QA, extensive HTML coding
of material from VISA's product, marketing and technical
documentation departments originally in PageMaker, Quark,
FrameMaker, Word and Illustrator files, using my own blend of
HTML converters, Perl, Grep, plugins, and hand coding on
Macintosh and Windows NT, along with daily testing and FTP
uploads to the secure staging servers.
- Production, editing, optimizing PDF documents with Adobe
Distiller, Exchange, and Acrobat. Graphic and image conversion
and optimization for the wide variety of bandwidth users
worldwide- especially international users on low-speed
connections, using PhotoShop with several Mac and PC
utilities.
